Micklefest – 28th August 2016
Micklefest is back for 2016 and promises to be a fantastic family day out.
With a beer festival, BBQ, bouncy castle and FREE live music from 12pm-7pm on the green at the rear of the Community Centre. (If weather is bad it will be moved to the main hall.
12.30pm-1.30pm – We have the fabulous Kevin Taylor, singing a mixture of songs throughout the era’s.
1.45pm-3pm – We have Re-Play (Martin Holland). A popular mix of chart hits, he is bound to get people up dancing. Set list includes: All night long-Lionel Ritchie, Knock three times-Tony Orlando and Dawn, Judy in disguise-John Fred & the playboys, Oh Carol-Neil Sedaka, Delilah-Tom Jones, Green door-Shakin Stevens, Real Love-Tom O’Dell, What a wonderful world-Jazz version, Dear Darlin-Ollie Murs, King-Years and Years, I’ve been losing you-A-Ha, Adventure of a lifetime-Coldplay, Yellow-Coldplay, Human-Killers, Invisible Touch-Genesis, Sex on fire-Kings of Leon, Hot legs-Rod Stewart, I hear you Knocking-Shakin Stevens.
3.15pm-4.15pm – We have 6to9 – a brand new band and we are their first ever gig! You won’t be disappointed though! Featuring local resident Andrew Stevens the set list includes: Dire Straits – Money for Nothing, ZZ Top – Sharp Dressed Man, Robert Palmer – Bad Case of Loving You, Thin Lizzy – Dancing in the Moonlight, Black Crowes – Hard to Handle, Billy Idol – White Wedding, Doobie Brothers – Long Train Running, Van Morrison – Moondance, T Rex – 20th century boy, Kinks – All Day and all of the night, ZZ Top – Gimme all your loving, Thin Lizzy – Rosalie, Rolling Stones – Jumping Jack Flash, Muse – Feeling Good.
4.30pm-6.30pm – We are welcoming back the ever popular Mandolin Monday. They have been practising some new tunes just for us and look forward to performing at Micklefield again.
